The Scholarship Programs:
Scholarship programs which enable students to be supported in undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the best higher education institutions in Qatar and around the world.
The Scholarship Programs based on the following geographic distribution:
1. Qatar
2. Australia
3. United Kingdom & Europe
4. United States & Canada
5. Japan
1. The applicant must be a Qatari citizen
2. 85% GSCE /equivalent obtained (preference to recent graduates).
3. The applicant must have a high school
certificate or its equivalent during the last five years.
4. The applicant must apply to study at a
university on the list of “Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani” scholarship.
5. Minimum 530 TOEFL test or 5.5 in IELTS.
6. Scholarship recipient must obtain an acceptance of a university on the list.
7. Scholarship recipient must not have a degree similar to the required degree.
8. After graduation the scholarship recipient must work at the service of the state for a period equal to the scholarship period.
9. Scholarship recipient should pass a personal interview.
10. Rating of GPA: 3.00.
11. QD should be the only sponsor for the applicant.
12. If the applicant was sponsored by QD, he or she should grant the company a period of service as agreed in the signed contracts.
1. The applicant must be a Qatari citizen.
2. The applicant must have a Bachelor degree if he/she applies for Master’s degree and have a Master’s degree if he/she applies for PhD.
3. The applicant must apply to study at a university on the list of “Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani” scholarship.
4. Scholarship recipient must obtain an acceptance of a university on the list.

It is a strategy applied by the Development and Qatarization Department at QD to provide the student with a fundamental work experience in the field of their study.
This program is applicable for all university students (National/Non-National).
Internships, work terms and work place learning are all opportunities for Qatari trainees to gain invaluable, practical work experience within QD:
1. Are held during the university summer break.
2. Have 1 - 3 month duration.
3. Are designed to provide work experience during academic study.
4. A certificate and a financial reward will be provided at the completion of the program.
5. Performance measurement and evaluation tools are set-up before, during and after the program in order to track transfer of learning and evidence of development.
The selection criteria for this program shall require the following attributes of the student:
1. Commitment and dedication to complete
the program.
2. Work satisfactorily based on QD
performance guidelines and criteria.
3. Ability to work effectively within a team and
respect the presence of authority.
4. Basic computer knowledge and high
interpersonal skills.
The student will be guided and motivated to excel in every aspect of the program. He / she will be expected to use this period to gain an in-depth knowledge about Qatari Diar, its values, the discipline, skills and behaviors needed to become employable after graduation.
