16 March 2011 (Doha, QATAR): QATARI DIAR Real Estate Investment Company, an international leader in sustainable development, and Lusail Real Estate Development Company announced today their strategic sponsorship and participation in the 6th International Qatar Real Estate & Investment Exhibition (Q-REX). The announcement was made at a press conference held at the Doha Sheraton Hotel, where it was also officially announced that Q-REX 2011 would take place from March 22nd to March 25th, 2011 at the Doha Exhibition Center.
This will mark the third year in a row that QATARI DIAR and Lusail Real Estate Development Company have served as strategic sponsors of this exhibition. The annual exhibition will build on the overwhelming success of last year’s event, which brought together a record-breaking number of visitors, including several companies from the GCC and many other countries, to offer invaluable opportunities to showcase projects and real estate investment services, and meet decision-makers on the latest investment opportunities in the domestic and international real estate sectors.
The press conference was attended by a number of QATARI DIAR and Lusail Real Estate Development Company employees. Eng. Essa Mohammed Ali Kaldari, CEO of Lusail Real Estate Development Company, said "This exhibition presents a great opportunity for us as well as participating companies to exchange expertise and to learn more about different projects and new experiences gained in the field of real estate investment. Visitors to the QATARI DIAR exhibition stand at Q-REX will be able to learn more about some of Qatar’s most significant projects including QATARI DIAR’s flagship project, Lusail City. This city, extending across 38 square kilometers of northern Doha, is not only the largest domestic real estate project, but also one of the most significant community projects currently underway in the region and world. Representing a new way of thinking about the environment, Lusail City will accommodate 190,000 residents, offer a workplace for 170,000, and will welcome 90,000 visitors.
